Terms and Conditions for Unique Numbers Free Prize Draw

  1. The Promotion is open to UK residents aged 18 or over, other than employees of KCOM Group PLC, KCFM, their families, agents or anyone professionally connected with the Promotion.
  2. Only one entry per household. No household may win more than one prize.
  3. There are 52 prizes: of £100.
  4. The prize is subject to availability. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute a prize of equivalent or greater value if this is necessary for reasons beyond its control. No correspondence will be entered into.
  5. All other expenses not expressly included in the prize are the responsibility of the Winner. SMS will be charged at your network provider standard rates.
  6. No purchase is necessary.
  7. No applications from agents, third parties, organised groups or applications automatically generated by computer will be accepted. No incomplete, illegible or corrupted entries will be accepted. Entries not in accordance with the entry instructions will not be accepted.
  8. For each week that entrants wish to enter the prize draw, entries must be made by registering the Unique Number ("UN") from the cover of the entrant's copy of the Hull Colour Pages along with their name, address and telephone number. Entries must be made either sending an SMS to 87103 in the format KCFM-HCP-Name & Answer, visiting the KCFM website at www.kcfm.co.uk or writing to KCFM, Planet House, 2 Woodhouse Street, Hull HU9 1RJ on or before 12.00 GMT on the Thursday before the Prize Date ("Closing Date"). Any entries received after the Closing Date will automatically be entered into the next Prize Draw.
  9. Responsibility is not accepted for entries lost, damaged or delayed as a result of any network, computer or telecommunications hardware or software failure of any kind. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of receipt. Incomplete or illegible entries may be treated as invalid.
  10. The Winner will be the first entry drawn at random by an independent person on Fridays from 16th June 2008 to 15th June 2009 ("Prize Dates"). A full list of Prize Dates can be found at www.kcfm.co.uk. The first entry chosen at random on each Prize Date will be the Winner of £100.
  11. The Winners will be contacted by telephone and announced on air between 06.00 and 09.30 GMT on Prize Dates on KCFM (the "Notification"). Where the Winner is not available to be contacted by KCFM, they must call 01482 333999 by 09.45 GMT on the applicable Prize Date. In the event that the Winner does not contact KCFM by 09.45 GMT on the applicable Prize Date, the prize of £100 will roll over to the next Prize Date and will be added to the following Prize Date's prize. The amount of times that the Prize may roll over is limited to 12 times. Where a Prize rolls over in excess of this, the total Prize due on the 13th rollover will revert back to £100. Thereafter, the Prize amount will rollover and increase again up to a limit of 12 times.
  12. The Winners must claim the prize within 5 days of the Notification by taking their copy of the Hull Colour Pages along with the winning UN to KCFM at Planet House, 2 Woodhouse Street, Hull HU9 1RJ. Upon proof of the winning UN being presented to KCFM, Winners will receive a cheque for £100 within 28 days. If a prize is unclaimed after this time the Promoter reserves the right to offer the unclaimed prize to the following Prize Draw Winner in accordance with these terms and conditions.
  13. The name of each Winner may be obtained by written request by sending an SAE to Hull Colour Pages, KCOM Group PLC Publishing Services, Broadway House, 105 Ferensway, Hull, East Yorkshire, HU1 3UN.
  14. The Promoters decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Entries that do not comply in full with these rules may be disqualified.
  15. The Promoter reserves the right to alter, amend or foreclose this Free Prize Draw without prior notice in the event that unforeseen circumstances make this unavoidable.
  16. These terms and conditions shall be governed by English law and the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction. Please note that the offer to participate in this prize draw does not extend to persons resident in countries where local, provincial or national laws prohibit the promotion of, operation of or participation in sweepstakes, lotteries or similar prize draws.
  17. The Free Prize Draw Winners may be required to participate in publicity arising from this Free Prize Draw and by entering the Free Prize Draw they consent to having their name and geographical area announced on KCFM and displayed at the KCFM and Hull Colour Pages Websites.
  18. By providing their contact details, all Entrants consent to being contacted by Hull Colour Pages and KCFM by post for marketing purposes.
  19. By entering the Free Prize Draw, all entrants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by the rules and consent to the transfer of their personal data to the Data Controller for the purposes of the administration of this Free Prize Draw and any other purposes to which the entrant has consented. All entry instructions form part of the rules.
