When you browse through the categories and find something you're interested in, there are a few possible things that you can do :
Contact the seller for more information
Contact the seller to negotiate a price
Buy directly from the advert
One thing to remember is that Colour Pages provides a classified advertising service which works in a similar way to a traditional newspaper advertising section, where the adverts themselves are placed by individual advertisers who are offering an item and the buying/selling process is handled directly between buyer and seller.
Contacting the advertiser for more information:
Quite often you'll find something that you may be interested in but you have additional questions that you'd like to ask the seller before you make your mind up.
Where the seller hasn't provided their telephone number, each ad has a 'reply to ad' button which will give you an email form where you enter your name, email address and enquiry and this gets sent directly to the seller. Once a seller is in receipt of your message, they'll get back to you as soon as possible to answer your enquiry.
Contacting the advertiser to negotiate a price:
Lots of sellers specify a price on their ad, but this may be open to negotiation. You can contact the seller in exactly the same way as you would if you were requesting additional information (above) and ask them if their price is firm or you could make them an offer.
The seller will respond to your enquiry as soon as possible to answer your questions and give you further information on how to purchase the item.
Buying directly from the advert:
Where the seller has put their contact details in the adverts you should contact the advertiser directly.

Placing an advert:
After you've registered, you can login to your account and place a new advert at any time and you can advertise most products, items and services that you would find in a regular newspaper classified section. You can browse through our categories to get an idea of what's being advertised by going to the classified advertising homepage and clicking on a category of interest to you.
The process of placing an ad is very simple and our system guides you through each step to help you create the perfect ad for the item you're advertising.
Buyers contacting you through your ad:
Each ad you place contains a 'reply to ad' form where buyers can contact you with any questions they may have. Buyers enter their name, email and message in the boxes and send their message that gets sent directly to the email that you register with us. For your privacy and spam protection, buyers do not have access to your email address unless you enter it into your ad or when you respond to their inquiry. You can then advise the buyer of your payment options and any other relevant information.
If you are advertising an event or making a recommendation:
If you're not advertising an actual item and your ad is to an announce a car boot sale for example, people won't need to contact you to send a payment so they may just contact you via the 'reply to ad' form located at the bottom of your ad in order to request additional information about the subject from you.
